Yash Chopra receives Today’s Traveller Diamond Award as India’s Most Successful Film- Maker

New Delhi, August 25, 2008: Today’s Traveller, the premier Business and Leisure Travel magazine, takes great pleasure in announcing its Eleventh Anniversary celebrations. To mark this milestone, a special 400-plus-page coffee-table book — Today’s Traveller—The Bollywood Travel Connection*— will be released on the occasion.
As part of this august event, outstanding performers in the travel and tourism sector will be awarded the second annual Today’s Traveller Diamond and Platinum awards.
Ms Ambika Soni, Union Minister for Tourism, has graciously consented to honour the event and give away the Today’s Traveller Diamond and Platinum awards 2008.
Mr Yash Chopra, noted film-maker, is the proud recipient of the Today’s Traveller Diamond Award as India’s Most Successful Film-Maker. Mr Chopra and his wife, Mrs Pamela Chopra, have consented to attend the event and personally receive the award.
The entire tourism industry is looking forward to the gala event, to be held on 25 August 2008 at Hotel Crowne Plaza, New Delhi. Over 700 guests have confirmed attendance for the event. These include State Tourism Ministers, Managing Directors, CEOs, Presidents and Vice-Presidents from the Tourism, Aviation, Hospitality, Corporate and Celebrity world.
