New Delhi, September 18, 2008 – Nokia Nseries has announced an exciting online consumer initiative, the Nokia N96 24 Gig is Big! Challenge, a unique, new-age tech contest inviting users across India to discover the enormous memory space of Nokia N96. The initiative is designed illustrate how consumers can best utilize the power of 24(16+8) GB memory on the device. The new Nokia N96 is the most advanced converged multimedia device from Nseries portfolio. It is the first ever mobile device to offer a memory size of 16GB expandable to 24GB through an external micro SD card, allowing consumers to store upto 18000 songs, upto 20000 images at 5 mega pixel, upto 60 hours of video or 20 full length movies on their mobile device and be entertained on-the-go.

Starting September 15, 2008, tech enthusiasts from across the country are invited to sign up online at www.nokia.co.in/24. Applicants (above the age of 18) will be required to submit their particulars – Name, Mobile Number, Current Nokia handset, Address, City name on the ‘Nokia N96 24 Gig is Big! Challenge’ page. The applicants are taken through an interesting online demonstration of the N96 and forwarded to a game page, where a hand appears on one side holding a Nokia N96. The contestants have to use the hand to catch as many multimedia items (songs, pictures and videos falling from the top) as possible within a period of 30 seconds. At the end of the game, the contestant gets to know how many media items s/he has collected and how much memory those items occupy out of 24GB – and therefore how much he/she has scored.
Nokia N96 24 Gig is Big! Campus Road shows: In a bid to connect with its core audience of young technology enthusiasts, Nokia Nseries is also organizing road shows in leading college campuses in Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai in half of September 2008 to announce the Nokia N96 24Gig is Big! Challenge. The road shows will offer young technoholics a first hand experience the N96 and also the opportunity to take part in the Nokia N96 24 Gig is Big! Challenge on the spot. There will be a special category for campus contestants, wherein one lucky winner from each city (3 winners in all), will be awarded the Nokia N96. There will also be interesting Nseries memorabilia such as pens, sippers and notebooks which will be given to the winners during the on-the-spot contests.
