BangaloreIT.biz 2008 will focus on creating opportunities in key verticals
Bangalore, October 30th 2008: The Department of IT, Bio-Technology and Science & Technology, Govt. of Karnataka, STPI Bangalore, MM Activ Sci-Tech Communications today announced that the stage is set for the 3-day mega IT event – BangaloreIT.biz from 6th, 7th & 8th Nov 2008. The event will be a B2B platform for the IT, ITES and all allied businesses for Indian as well as global companies. This will be the eleventh edition of India’s flagship ICT event and will be held at the Palace Grounds, Bangalore. The exhibition, convention & conferences will be at the same location spread across twelve thousand Sq. Mts. BangaloreIT.biz will focus on creating a meaningful B2B platform for the industry to promote partnerships and forge alliances with leading players in domestic and international markets. This year the partner country will be Mexico and the partner state will be Gujarat. A fifty member delegation from Mexico, including the Minister of Economy, government officials and industry representatives and a similar delegation from Gujarat will take-part in BangaloreIT.biz 2008. Delegations from other countries like Germany, Japan, Bavaria, Denmark and UK will be participating in the event.
The event will include conferences and round tables covering a myriad of verticals like Healthcare, Telecom, Education, Cyber & National security, Green technologies, GIS & Spacial technology and an exclusive round table by the Govt. of Karnataka on Rural IT Policies as well. A special emphasis on Manufacturing, with “IT manufacturing – Made in India” by MAIT and “Advantage India- Solar PV” by ISA. The CEO Conclave will address “Is India ready for the Global meltdown? And How?” followed by a Power Golf tourney and an awards nite. This year, for the first time, the STPI export awards has been integrated with the event. Ten companies have been short listed for the YESSS programme, which will give Young Entrepreneurs’ Start ups an opportunity to present their innovations to the industry and to potential investors. The organisers have sent out over twenty thousand business invitations, so that they may visit the exhibition during dedicated business hours.
BangaloreIT.biz has attracted over hundred companies with confirmed participation from global companies like Infosys, Wipro, Microsoft, Cisco, Intel, AMD, Siemens, Nokia, BSNL, Airtel, HP, IBM, Dell, Oracle, Texas Instruments, TCS, Supervalue…etc., The exhibition has been segregated into various pavilions like Infocom & Hardware, Software & STPI, IT Parks & SEZs, Country & States pavilion and the Govt. of Karnataka infrastructure initiatives pavilion. The conference tracks will feature over sixty five high profile speakers across various verticals.
